PIONEER PLAZA - MiLLS PROMeNaDE, CITY OF EL PASO
Pioneer Plaza sits literally at the founding point of El Paso - a public space originally defined by the built elements of Don Juan Mario Ponce De Leon’s original rancho buildings built on the site in 1830-1832. From this open space originally known as “Little Plaza” that defined the primary lines forming the first maps of
El Paso drawn by Anson Mills and W.S. Hills. In*Situ Architecture implemented several urban strategies in a 2020 renovation that organizes an intimate gathering point at the very heart of downtown. |
