Workforce solutions headquarters - BlUE FLAME BUILDING
The new Workforce Solutions headquarters are located in the historic Blue Flame Building on the 14th and 15th floors. In*Situ Architecture served as the architect of record for all the commercial tenant improvements being built out in the building.
This tenant improvement consists of 11,900 SF of office space, including three large bullpens on the east and west side of the building with grand views of the borderplex, 17 offices, four conference rooms, an internal restroom (apart from the lobby’s restrooms), a lactation room, break rooms on both floors, and a call center. The tenant improvements received modern mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems as part of the historic renovation. In addition to the Workforce Solution headquarters, historic rehabilitation of the Blue Flame Building—constructed in 1954—consists of a change of occupancy from office building to a mix-use structure comprises retail space in the ground level, 120 residential units from levels 2-13, and office spaces from levels 14-17. In addition, amenities like a community room and a storage area for residents are provided at the basement level. This tenant improvement project was carefully designed to satisfy the client’s requests and needs while retaining the integrity and historical values and elements of this significant building in downtown El Paso, which was once the Natural Gas Building Headquarters. |
